Data Deletion

How to Request Data Deletion
We believe in giving you control over your data. Depending on your role within your team, there are different ways to request deletion of your account data.
Team Owners
If you are the owner of a team, you can delete your team and all associated data by following these steps:
- Log in to your CrewSpec account
- Navigate to your team dashboard
- Click on Administration
- Click on Delete Data
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the deletion of your team and all team members
⏱️ Soft Delete Grace Period
When you initiate a team deletion, a soft delete is performed initially. This means your team data is marked for deletion but is not immediately removed from our systems. During this grace period:
- Your team data is de-activated and inaccessible
- You must quickly contact our support team if you change your mind
- Your data can be restored if requested within the grace period
Once the soft-delete grace period expires, your team data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Team Members
If you are a member of a team but not a team administrator, you cannot directly delete your account data. Instead, you must contact your team administrator and request that your user data be deleted from the team.
Your team administrator will be able to disable your user, remove your name, email address, phone number, and other personal information from the team. However, be aware that historic information relating to the team operations may be subject to retention policies established by the team's organization.
Unlinking SSO Accounts
If you signed up for CrewSpec using a Single Sign-On (SSO) provider such as Google, you may also choose to unlink your SSO account from the app. This is typically handled from your SSO provider's account administration page. Since all SSO systems differ, please review the instructions provided by your SSO provider on how to accomplish this.
Offsite Backup Retention
Please note that even after your data is permanently deleted from our active systems, some residual data may remain in offsite backups for a period of time. This is a standard practice for data security and disaster recovery purposes. This backup data will be automatically and permanently removed over time, typically within several weeks of your deletion request.
